A nurturing, play-led community where every child is valued, every moment is a learning opportunity, and every family feels truly at home.
We envision a place where children feel joyful, fulfilled, and part of a nurturing community that truly values their growth and learning. Every child, from babies to older children, deserves rich and meaningful learning experiences.
We believe play is at the heart of learning. It's through play that children explore their world, develop new skills, and grow in confidence — at their own pace. Our ultimate aim is to help every child feel safe, supported, and ready to take on life with confidence and curiosity.
We use 'Planning in the Moment' alongside a variety of teaching methods, seeing each child as a unique learner with their own needs and learning style. By encouraging creativity and imagination, we support children in becoming confident, critical thinkers.
We provide a warm, supportive environment where children feel secure, valued, and ready to explore. We help children understand their own emotions and those of others, and actively support the early development of self-regulation skills.
We encourage children to develop healthy, positive relationships—with both themselves and those around them. We help them become aware of and sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, while also teaching them to recognize and respect differences related to race, gender, and ability.
We believe in working closely with parents and carers, valuing their role in each child’s learning journey. By building strong partnerships, we create a warm, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels included and involved
At The Shekinah Glory, we’re proud to offer a beautiful outdoor garden space. Children spend time there every day, connecting with nature, interacting with our animals, and enjoying a variety of outdoor play experiences that spark exploration and discovery.
Our curriculum is built around the seven core areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework — from birth to age five.
What truly sets us apart is our carefully selected, thoroughly vetted, and deeply committed team of childcare professionals who treat every child like their own.
We are committed to hiring, developing, and retaining the most dedicated professionals in childcare. Our team is at the heart of everything we do — creating the warm, welcoming, home-from-home atmosphere that defines Shekinah Glory.
We actively engage in charity events and community initiatives, believing in making a meaningful difference beyond our nursery walls.
Detailed background checks and full industry vetting for every member of staff. We never use external agency staff — only our trusted regular 'bank' team.
All staff participate in continuous professional development. Every team member holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate and Child Protection training.
Each child is assigned a Key Person who monitors progress, maintains development records, and liaises closely with parents at pick-up time and in regular meetings.
We prioritise staff retention — many team members stay with us long-term, building strong bonds with children and families and ensuring consistent, familiar care.
We work closely with parents and carers, valuing their role as the most important people in their child's learning journey. Together we create a family-like atmosphere.
Every space is thoughtfully designed to be safe, stimulating, and joyful for children at every stage of development.
Large, airy rooms with a 1:3 staff ratio. Multi-sensory resources stimulate all five senses. Individual routines, cots with personal bedding, and a dedicated Key Worker for each baby with their own progress folder.
Spacious, bright rooms with a messy zone, role-play area, cosy book corner, and sensory section. The large open-plan layout allows free-flow between groups and mixed-age socialisation with older children.
A vibrant, fully enclosed garden with a sandpit, toy car racetrack, climbing structures, and imaginative play zones. Children connect with nature and interact with our animals every single day.
Fully equipped kitchens inspected by Environmental Health Officers. Qualified cooks prepare three nutritious meals and two snacks daily using fresh ingredients, catering for all dietary requirements and allergies.
As an early years setting, we are striving to offer equal opportunities to all children, regardless of their background, ethnicity, language and needs. Our nursery provides high quality care to everyone, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). At The Shekinah Glory we work closely with professionals such as GPs, health visitors, speech & language therapists and early years consultants to make sure that the children with SEND within our care receive the right support. Our staff collaborate with the Key Person, SENCO and other involved agents to create specialized individual plans, which are thoroughly followed by everyone in order to support & maintain the progress in children’s development.
We carry out thorough risk assessments and maintain the very highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across all our settings.
We are a strictly nut-free environment with rigorous allergen control to protect every child in our care.
We participate in the Government's free milk scheme and encourage healthy snacks such as fruit and rice cakes.
Thorough assessments across all areas, with additional planning and permission slips for any off-site activities.
Both settings are proudly rated GOOD by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education.
We promote healthy lifestyles from an early age and fully respect all allergies, medical needs, and cultural differences.
Children are encouraged to self-serve, fostering independence and confidence in making their own informed choices.
